Psychotherapy, supervision & training Ranelagh



Monica has extensive experience in the area of mental health and brings a wide perspective to her work. Her  background is in social work and she then did  further training in psychotherapy as she recognised the benefits of more in-depth therapeutic work with clients thus supporting them in making effective and long lasting change in their lives.

Her main training was as a Gestalt therapist and she has added many other influences and training to her work; she has studied Psychosynthesis, Solution Focused therapy, and Couple Counselling.

She is also a trained supervisor and provides supervision to other Psychotherapists and students of Psychotherapy. Monica was a member of the training team at Turning Point in Dun Laoghaire, for five years where she assisted in the skills training of Psychotherapists. She is now an external trainer for Inspire Leadership and Knowledge and more recently

In practice for 20 years, Monica’s style is an integrative and humanistic one embodying not only humanistic and transpersonal trainings but also her wide interest in health, healing and spirituality. Monica works in a holistic way and draws from her wide experience in the caring professions  as well as in her own life. She practices yoga and mindfulness, is a mother and long time member of the Dublin Food Co-op. She founded the Good Food Initiative, and used write  a regular blog on the issue of food and health and host classes on whole food cookery, bread making  and anything related to food and health. Currently she is attending to the  training aspect of her work and integrating her interest in physical health into her wellness training work.

She has written and published several papers and presented trainings to various organisations on psychotherapy, mental health, stress management and other related issues. Her third book was published in 2015 and was a collection of Italian recipes.

She is registered as a Psychotherapist and Supervisor with IAHIP and ECP and is a registered trainer with EAIP (European Association of Integrative Trainers. She practices in Ranelagh Dublin 6. and travels throughout Ireland to provide training.
